Al-Futtaim Motors hands over first Hino 300 Series hybrid truck in UAE

Al-Futtaim Motors, leader in sustainable mobility and exclusive distributor of Hino in the UAE, handed over a Hino 300 Series hybrid truck to Oasis Water Company, in line with its environmental mobility agenda.
The handover, which took place at Oasis Water’s Headquarters, was attended by Ramez Hamdan, General Manager of Hino at Al-Futtaim Motors accompanied by a delegation from Hino Japan, George Antonios, Marketing Director of National Food Products Company in addition to a number of senior officials from both organizations.
The custom-built Hino 300 series Hybrid light-duty truck has been modified by Goricato suit the requirements of the business and now features a mounted half chiller, half freezer body that has been manufactured with high-quality GRP panels, ensuring conformity to market requirements, particularly in the hot summer months.
The Hino 300 Series Hybrid light-duty truck features the world’s first hybrid diesel engine designed to deliver cleaner, more efficient transport solutions. The truck employs a Euro 4 and EVV compliant 4L diesel engine matched to an auxiliary electric motor that is emission-free, which significantly reduces emissions of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, particulate matter and nitrogen oxide.

Al-Futtaim Motors, leader in sustainable mobility and exclusive distributor of Hino in the UAE, has announced the launch of the redesigned medium duty Hino 500 Series truck, the company’s second launch in a few months, following the introduction of the Hino 300 series hybrid.
Featuring a redesigned exterior, a host of enhanced safety features and driver comfort amenities, the 2017 Hino 500 Series continues to deliver on the company’s promise of quality, durability and reliability, and is purpose-built to suit the needs of the local market to support customers’ businesses.
The latest generation of the Hino 500 Series trucks comes with a 7.7 L Euro 3 compliant engine equipped with a high pressure common rail fuel injection system and turbocharger/intercooler technology to achieve lower emissions and uncompromised power and fuel efficiency. The electronic control common rail technology in the engine allows it to maintain power and higher fuel economy performance under any driving condition.

The medium duty Hino500 Series offers a wide possibility of applications, such as tipper trucks, curtain siders, reefer trucks as well as general cargo, making it a real all-rounder. The truck also features a range of safety features including ABS, Front Underrun Protection System (FUPS), Rear Underrun Protection System (RUPS) and much more.
Stepping into the cabin of the truck, drivers can look forward to a much more comfortable and ergonomic working environment. Riding comfort is improved thanks to a semi-floating construction for the cab mount and mounting bushes, resulting in reduced road vibrations better ride comfort and reduced cabin noise. The driver’s seat was also re-designed to better fit the driver’s body and alleviate fatigue over long-distance driving, while bed space for resting is located behind the seat. The optimised cab provides better visibility, better arrangement of the instrument cluster and efficient air flow to keep cool in traffic.

Hino supplies various government entities with Hino trucks
Hino has partnered with various UAE government entities during 2015 to supply major fleet orders of Hino trucks destined for operations to further develop the United Arab Emirates.

Al-Futtaim Motors successfully launched Hino Eco-driving training for customers
Al-Futtaim Motors has introduced the Hino Eco-driving training for light-duty truck customers, in conjunction with Hino Motors Ltd – Japan, as a part of Hino Total Support concept. The objective of the initiative is to spread awareness of economical driving measures, helping customers optimise their total cost of truck ownership and enhance the bottom line for their business. Economical driving helps fleet owners improve fuel efficiency, minimise the cost of wear and tear, reduce service and maintenance costs as well as insurance premiums, and decrease risk of major road accidents. Customers who have attended the training have reported an overall reduction in engine noise, clutch and brake repairs as well as fuel consumption ranging from 20 to 40 per cent.
Among key fleet customers who have already experienced the benefits of the programme are Al-Futtaim Logistics, Al Massar (previously known as Al Wathba), Coca Cola and Emirates Transport. This brings the number of truck drivers passing the training certification to over 30. Al-Futtaim Motors unveils redeveloped Hino Trucks and Toyota Material Handling 3S facility in Dubai
As part of its network development programme of renovation of its Hino Trucks and Toyota Material Handling facilities, in a move to further develop the company's focus on customer centricity by enhancing the customer experience and to increase brand visibility, Al-Futtaim Motors recently re-opened its facility at Umm Ramoul, Dubai.
A formal opening ceremony held on 23rd June was attended by over 80 guests from Al-Futtaim Automotive group's senior management, including Len Hunt, President - Automotive, and from Al-Futtaim Motors' senior management, including Jon Williams, Managing Director and from Hino distributors from the Middle East, Africa and West Asia.
The event marked the completion of the first phase of the Umm Ramoul branch re-development, which features customer and associate parking, a branded exterior facade and new signage, a new truck display area and a new parts delivery counter.
